Senka Hoshitsu Lotion in Moisturizing [Review]

I'm sure this brand is quite a stranger to most of you and you would probably think that "cheh, another Hada Labo copy cat, so special meh..." Well, I would say before judging the cover of a book, why not try them out first. This might just surprise you because it is cheaper bigger in volume and works well too! At least this is my take on this product. Maybe I should explain a little bit about Senka before proceeding to the fun facts of the Hoshitsu Lotion.

Senka is an all-new Japanese skincare brand with my believed it being launched only recently in Malaysia. If you walk around Watson, I don't think you will miss this heavily promoted on the most visible shelves rack available in the store. They claimed to have developed Senka with its customers in mind, incorporates advanced technologies with strong development capabilities to only produce peoducts that satisfy every customer. Okay, maybe EVERY customer is a tiny bit too much to offer.  Senka offers two skincare ranges, Moisturizing and Whitening, a suncare range as well as a cleansing range with an array of textures to suit women with different skincare needs.

I understand this era, most women have been sucked into the ideology of the greatness of moisturizing lotion or hyaluronic acid, a term which is no longer a foreign to us. I would be lying if I tell you I do not buy into all these hype. Well, it is nothing to be ashamed of because it is a fact that most women these days are looking for a daily lotion which moisturizes skin continuously and effectively.

Senka Hoshitsu Lotion comes in 2 types, moist (normal to dry skin) and fresh (normal to oily skin). They are developed with the Micro-Moisture Manufacturing process (shrinks hydrating elements down to the micro level) to provide creamy moisturizing and hydration capabilities. They are designed to not leave any sticky residue on skin while retaining skin elasticity. They also contains extra hydrating ingredients such as Double Hyaluronic Acid with integrated Royal Jelly GL to give skin a smooth and dewy quality.

I have a video demo of this comparing to Hada Labo which will be up hopefully soon. I personally prefers this to Hada Labo because it doesn't leave that sticky exterior which made the models skin bounced like a baby's bottom in Hada Labo commercial. It absorbs well into the skin and I don't have to follow the patting rule, I can just quickly massage it onto my skin like swiping mahjongs on the table. The volume is slightly more and it is cheaper in price, selling at RM39.90 per 200ml plus the label writes "Made from Japan" instead of "Made from China" as on Hada Labo bottle.

I would repurchase this once I'm done with all my moisturizing lotion. :)

LeeHom Live in Genting [Concert]

Seriously, easiest blogpost ever. Pictures tell you a thousand words x 1000000 times the effect. Who doesn't know Lee Hom. Just look at his cute baby face in a grown up body, so good looking. You would have probably thought that I was there watching his concert for free but no, that wasn't the case. For some unknown reason I miss out the chance to meet him in person again. Only God knows why I chose to have my off days during the 3 days he was around the resort even when I perfectly know his concert was those dates. Don't even have a chance to bump into his hiding self wearing disguises. Oh well, it was nice to see his pictures though... hehe.

Rimmel London Flash Eyeliner [Review]

$

I've had this for a really long time, since the time when I was a an ambassador for Star Asia. We were given RM500 worth of Rimmel London products to try. So I had my eyes on this since the beginning of the workshop session and I knew this baby will be chosen in the RM500 budget. WHY? for the obvious reasons that it shapes like a pen and can be applied like a marker. This is my first liquid liner with a precise felt tip, making beginners believe that you can never go wrong with this sweet thang.

I love the packaging because it is super super pen thin-like which makes it super portable. Travelling or just to put into your handbag so effortless, you won't even feel the weight of this eyeliner.

Just look at that sharp tip, which makeup junkie won't love such an amazing precise applicator. You can draw your liner so thin that people won't even notice that you have eyeliner on you big 'natural' eyes. This is perfect to get the natural korean look, they like the no-makeup makeup look. You can fill it in between the gaps of the lashes as well as helps getting the thin black liner on the tight line. Even though this is considered liquid, you don't have to wait for it to dry before you are able to blink your eyes. It drys quickly and it is transfer resistant.

When I want to get that thicker cat eye look, I will just use the sides of the applicator for more ink to transfer onto my lids. Then I will define it with the tip of the applicator.

I wouldn't say this liner does not have a flaw. It is due to the felt tip, you can't exactly get that perfect flow continuous flow. At times, I still need to shake it a little to get the ink flowing down but a way to conquer this is to ensure you keep the liner standing with the tip at the bottom when not using it.

It is definitely not the longest lasting eyeliner, it probably starts fading within 5 hours. Plus, this liner is not that black in colour. For those who love that super black-black eyeliner, this is not for you.

Saddest part of all, this may be discontinued. I'm not sure if they are still selling it or not. I would say I like it because it is super easy to use but I don't love it because it does not have a strong long lasting staying power.

Axiata Cup 2013: Up Your Game!

$

Are you following Axiata Cup but can't get instant update? Well, now you can just by downloading the Axiata Cup App! Not only will you get prompt news, results various other info and updates on the matches, you can also stream life matches on your phone to make sure you never miss an important match!

Find the links below:

iPhone: : http://bit.ly/iosaxiatacup

Android: : http://bit.ly/axiatacup2013

Blackberry: : http://bit.ly/BBaxiatacup

When you get pumped up looking at all the adrenaline, you can also win your own Axiata Cup via the game inside the app! Okay, I'm not much a gamer on iPhone and iPad because I hate the idea of waiting and going in back another time just because you ran out of coins and etc. Though, there are a couple of games that I really like such and fruit ninja, diner dash, cupcake dash, shooting games.... because I can up my level without the need to wait for coins to load overtime.

So I've tested out the Axiata Cup app badminton game. Yup, I am going to test my athletic skills too. Hehe. I'm not the best at badminton but I'm sure I can handle it virtually.

So I went into the app and then click on Play Game. Pick your player, of course, I'm the type of girl that will always pick girl player even in Mortal Combat. Follow the instructions and PLAY!

You will start from stage 1 obviously, the game is simple, similar to fruit ninja, instead of samurai-ing the fruits, you are suppose to flick the shuttlecock over the net to score. The idea is somewhat to smash the shuttlecocks over the net, if your shuttlecock is flying oh-so-slowly over the net, no points will be counted. The shuttlecock should turn blue after flicking to be considered smashed. Just remember to get every shuttlecock over the net, if it falls on the floor, you lost a life. I assume the 3 dots around the bottom of my "character" on the top right is my life.

That's all? You wish! That was just the basic. To score even more points, you can try purposely flicking the shuttlecock to the net to bounce back and you flick it again over the net. This is apparently call the "Bounce Points". When you've just started to get the hang of the game, round 2 is where you meet the "bombs", no brainer, just don't touch the bombs. Duh.

Then further down the game, they told me to flick the shuttlecock up to get "Juggle" points. Remember to catch the shuttlecock after flicking them up because what goes up must come down. Just flick it over the net to score points.

There's more! Apparently, if you wait till the shuttlecock goes low and you flick it when it is nearer to the ground over the net, you will score "Low" points.

The funny part was just when I thought blue shuttlecock indicates me smashing them, here comes a guide telling me to shoot it from the top to score "Smash" points. Burn. Then I found out that if you flick it from the far right over the net, you will get "Far" points. Double burn because I never knew it existed.

It can be quite challenging to stay alive because as your rank goes higher, more shuttlecocks will appear in a shorter period of time. I quite like this game and foresee myself playing with this to pass time other than playing Scramble with Friends. :D You should try too!

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit in Light Beige N02 [Review]

Precious Minerals for that Precious Face

Etude says:
This BB cream is formulated with Pearl Powder with an improved adhesive texture to promote moist, radiant looking skin while protecting against UV damage and wrinkles. This BB cream have 3 functions, whitening, uv protection and anti-wrinkle.

I think I got this product quite sometime ago and I wasn't really a big fan of BB cream last time as I was told BB cream is not really good for the skin. Though, I still try to use BB cream on and off because I feel they have the most goodness in them as compared to a normal foundation. After trying this BB cream recently, I really came to like it a lot. I always though BB cream is not very good in coverage wise but this proves me wrong. The coverage of this BB cream is quite high as it is quite thick in consistency and color. I love that it comes with SPF 30 PA++, sunscreen function does attract me when it is about skincare because Malaysia's weather is just horrible.

I believe they have quite a few colour range for this, #1 Light Beige, #2 Natural Beige, #3 Honey Beige, #4 Sand Beige. The packaging is also rather big in 60g.

I love that the packaging comes in pump! So much more hygienic and easier to control the amount of product, I hate products that keeps oozing out when I don't even squeeze them. Especially when I bring a new product up the hill, it gets up my grill when the products keep flowing out of the tube. So far I have no problem with this pump, it works perfectly. The cover also clings on quite well, never I had a problem of it coming uncap in my makeup bag.

Love the coverage that this BB cream gives, it covers your skin so naturally. Natural Beige #2 may look a bit  yellow for my skin but after a while it will blend into your skin cover. Plus, I sometimes have the perception of using a little bit tanner foundation can give me a healthier look to my skin, so I won't look so pale all the time. :) Of course, please blend well into your neck too when using a different shade foundation/BB cream.

It stay on my skin quite well too and I don't see it transferring on to my shirt. I don't think this BB cream breaks my skin, my skin seems to be quite tolerate to it. Thank God. Though, removing is quite a hassle because it stays on so well on the skin, at times I scare I did not clean my face enough at the end of the day. I would suggest to use cleansing milk because they are the best at cleaning your skin. Of course, follow on with gentle daily scrub.

I can't say much about helping in wrinkles because I can't see the effect on my skin but yes brightening your skin as if you are ready to conquer the day and party till the night falls. So far among my BB cream experience, I do quite like this. :)

Ma Cherie | Japanese Hair Care | Shampoo & Conditioner [Review]

A luxurious world that melts your heart

Never heard of Ma Cherie? Me too! This is my first time hearing of this new hair care brand from Japan. Ma Cherie means "my sweetheart to me" and it boasts guaranteed high quality products for beauty-conscious women who have strong inner fashion sense. Ma Cherie lady is a trend-innovator, a trend-setter who enjoys pampering herself with only the best. Damn, this brand sounds like is made for the bomb-diggity, the queen-bee, the spoiled-child and the women-on-top. Lols. Seriously.

Ma Cherie consists of two full hair care ranges (Air Feel & Moisture) and one hair styling range designed to smooth and tame hair. The products ooze a sense of French romance and are formulated with four signature ingredients; Champagne, Honey, Hydroxyethylurea and Inositol that works together harmoniously to infuse every stand of hair with abundant moisture. Ma Cherie also has a signature floral and fruity aroma developed to induce a sweet yet romantic feeling every time you use the products.

I was given this product to review them and they gave me the Moisture Range cause I'm growing my hair out, thus requires something more to help in healthy growing. The shampoo & conditioner each cost RM26.90 per bottle of 200ml. They also comes with a Treatment too costing at RM39.90 per tube which I don't have it in my collection.

The moisture range is ideal for dry and unruly hair. Formulated with repairing and moisturizing ingredients, the entire range repairs and controls dry ends to produce hair that is smooth and silky to touch.

I love love love love the smell of this shampoo to the max! Seriously smells like champagne or sparkling juice. It is so similar to Esprit Sparkling Juice in passion fruit. The product feels super luxurious but unfortunately the plastic packaging doesn't cut it to fall under the luxurious range. Look is everything. Yes, I admit the design is extremely nice and has the luxurious feel with 'gold' detailing but is the plastic bottles that bothers me. Then again, even luxurious brands shampoo comes in plastic bottles, hmmmm, or else what type of material are they going to use for shampoos? Okay, I totally just didn't make sense here. I really just can't explain. I'm sorry :( Maybe the plastic material that they use looks cheap. Just a thought.

For some reason they like to give us products with all the foreign language behind it. Totally have no idea what it is written behind. If only I can read Korean, I can be cute already. Lols. Just kidding.

The consistency of the shampoo is just nice and damn, I have to say the conditioner must be really moisturizing because it is extremely thick. Just look at it, doesn't fall. That is why I believe this product not only smells amazing but also works well. It cleans hair well and conditions hair perfectly. You will feel fresh after shampooing with it.

It is available in selected Guardians and Wellness Aeon outlets. Just check them out and smell them yourself. You will fall in love with it.

Lancome L'Absolu Creme De Brillance Lip Gloss [Review]

$

I can't even pronouce this amazing lipgloss name.

Hello! I'm back reviewing a lipgloss that I have for ages. I won it from a blogging contest by Lancome. I never wanted to try this because I wasn't really attracted to the colour of it, I felt it was too rosy-aunty colour. Something that my mom would wear if she wears lip glosses. I almost wanted to give it away because I have so many lip products that I feel would be nice blessing others especially when it is Lancome. Almost wanted to sell it off too but nobody wants it. So, one fine day I just thought of trying it.

It totally took me by surprise! I immediately fell in love with it! Like fo sizzle! It was super duper pigmented, some what a lipstick-lipgloss type and the colour suits me perfectly, the tone was just beautiful on my lips.

Lancome claims:

The richest lip-caring colour by lancome Indulge in voluptuous shine. Our highest concentration of Pro-Xylane, Hyaluronic Acid and Moisture Fix Complex. 10 hours of hydration for a moisture-plumping effect.

I think, if i'm not mistaken, this lip colour is in 06 Rose Nu. Yes, I think it does give a little bit of that plumping effect to the lips and it is quite shiny, making lips look a bit 3D.Another great thing about it, I actually do like how it smells but I'm not sure how to describe it. It is not the fake candy smell or a bit plastic smell that I often get from a lipgloss or lipstick. It is not sweet smelling either. The smell feels sophisticated but wasn't till that perfumey smell either. It's complicated.

The applicator is boringly normal, nothing huge about it. I mean what else can I say about the typical teardrop brush. I works well, that's all I can say. :) Also, maybe due to the hyaluronic acid, it doesn't dries my lips at all. It doesn't super long though but if you be careful about not licking your lips too often, then you might get a good 4-5 hours stay. I probably only got this to last for about 1-2 hours because I always snack and drink like crazy and I have the habit of licking my lips.

You can see the difference it made to my lips!

I think this is a brilliant lipgloss, suitable for those working ladies who need a fast lip colour and gloss. Especially if you have that last minute meeting. It looks amazing not only on the lips but also look fabulous in the bag. I mean come on, you are carrying a branded (at least to me) lipgloss in your bag. How would it get unnoticed?

p/s: I WANT TO BE A BEAUTY, FASHION AND LIFESTYLE WRITER AS MY CAREER. :(

NH Vege F'bre Plus Detoxlim [Review]

$

0
I was fortunate to get a couple of health items to try. Things such as below I don't see myself buying just for trying sake except Brands, I do have some faith in that product because my grandma introduced the Chicken Essence to me and I have been wanting to try their other products.

Today I'm going to review the NH Vege F'bre Plus by NH Detoxlim. I've never heard of it before but definitely seen them around in Guardian while shopping there.

About NH Vege F'bre Plus
NH Vege F’bre Plus is a nutritious fibre drink formulated for Asians with hectic lifestyles, imbalanced diets and weight problems. Made from 100% natural ingredients, it is a natural source of insoluble and soluble fibres that maintains bowel regularity and replenishes the body with rich botanical nutrients for general well-being. It complements any weight management program by expelling toxins out from the body, increases the body’s metabolic rate and prevents the body from absorbing excessive carbohydrate, fat and calories.

In the sample we were given 2 packets to try and I was quite excited because which girl doesn't like the idea of shortcuts to a healthy and slim body. So one fine day I opened it in the office and the first thing I realize was the smell. SO SMELLY!!! :( Serious shit, smells like my father's fish tank! Smells so green and grassy. I thought it would smell like spirulina, then not so bad la.OMGeeeeee, trust me, I stupidly still persist on drinking the weird smelling powder.

Of course, the powder is green, quite expected. You are suppose to stir it will luke warm water, not hot water or cold water kay. That is the worst part cause it is so hard to dissolve them in luke warm water. I stir & stir & stir like crazy. I was hiding away from my colleagues somemore to prevent them from kepo-ing and asking "yer... what is that green thing in your cup" I was lazy to explain because it was already so smelly, like conquering my very own edition of Fear Factor Challenge.

I'm sorry if the picture was unflattering because it is how it looks. Before gulping down my throat, I actually psycho myself to believe that it will taste better than it looks. Then, I tried to quickly sollow everything in one breath so I don't have to smell them. BUT NOOOOOO, OMGeeeeee, it was unbearable. I can't, I couldn't!!!!! It was just horrible :( I tried but I just can't. I forced myself to drink it until almost reaching to the bottom of the cup and that was it, I just can't take it anymore. I ran to the pantry to wash the cup and pray that the smell doesn't stay.

After taking picture of the 2nd packet content, I threw away the powder cause I rather eat vege and fruits than drinking this again.

I was hoping that this will be good but too bad it just doesn't work for me. Highly suggest you to try one packet first before commiting on this regime.

Hey hey, pretty girls and handsome gentlemen,

How's everyone doing? I'm down in Klang Valley now and is extremely hot the weather. I'm feeling like an oven in my room without air-cond. Is just me cause I'm used to the weather up there. :)

I'm quite glad that I'm still receiving some emails inquiries on Taylor's education and also about internship in Genting. Just a note that I may reply late to some of you because I'm rather busy at work.

Anyway, these are some of my instagram pictures. We all love instagram!

Pictures below are from the Songkran Thai food that I ate in Coffee Terrace. The promotion ended on 14th April 2013 but all I can say is that I very much enjoyed all the amazing authentic thai food they served in there. It seemed that they actually gotten chefs from Thailand just for this Water Festival promotion. No wonder the food was spectacular. :)

Just a small part of my life :)

Red Berries Tea by Ronnefeldt

Have anyone ever had this tea?

I was at Ritz Carlton for an event sometime ago and they had an amazing selection of teas during the event. This tea caught my eye because of its super red packaging and it is written berries on it. I love berries and I think I tried a couple of other berry teas before but wasn't as delicious as this Red Berries Tea by Ronnefeldt.

When I was at the event, I had this tea accompanied with honey & lemon. I immediately fell in love with it! I went over to the counter and asked if I can steal a couple of teabags to enjoy during my Me Time at home. The guy was so nice and gave me 3 teabags to bring home.

Initially, I wondered if it was just the lemon and honey that made it so yummy. I mean of course that made some difference in the tea flavor but these Red Berries Teas was great on their own too. I love how it tastes and smell a little fruity sour. It was just so good for my mind and soul. I need to check if I can buy them in Tesco or Cold Storage. If any of you knows where I can get them cheaper, please please please let me know. Thank you very much! :)

Brand's InnerShine Prune Essence [Review]

I know I'm slow for trying this out late. Always wanted to try other Brand's product, even the new Brand's Ruby Collagen, I've yet to try that out but now I will be sharing with you what's my first impression of the InnerShine Prune Essence that I've got recently from The Great Guardian Makeover.

When I first open it, it smells exactly like prune, like duh, obviously. It has the thick liquid consistency and you can see some of the prune residue is still in there, is not a bad thing. When you drink it, SOUR as crazy. I honestly never thought that it will be so sour. It smelled and tasted like the SunSweet prunes that I love when I feel fat. It doesn't taste bad or anything, it is just more sour than I thought it would be.

Of course, with just 1 bottle I can't tell you much of whether how great my skin felt or blah blah blah but at least now I know that it is drinkable. I think after a while I will get used to the taste and will happily enjoy this little luxury beauty drink daily. So yeay to Brand's Prune Drink!

I Love My Team!!!!!

Lols, okay maybe I shouted too loud but I really do like my team's finish look. Seriously, we were all damn poser like crazy. They are all guys and they gave me ideas on my outifit, wahahahahaha!

Wondering what am I raving about? Well, Nuffnang Fashion Fabulous team had a fashion gathering event last sunday at The Warehouse Cafe Art in KL. No easy to find the location but was worth it because the place looks awesomely hipster and cool for photoshoots.

They had 3 independent apparel brands set up for us to mix match and play dress up for a little instagram contest. Winners walk away with a bag of organic goodies sponsored by Melvita, the skincare brand. The 3 apparel brands were Pestle & Mortar, MilkTee.nu and PhatCulture.

Our mission was to grab a partner and style ourselves for a little fun photoshoot around the area. Instagram the pictures and get noticed!

...and this is my final look!

Cap - Pestle & Mortar
Exercise Book - Pestle & Mortar
T-shirt with HanieHidayah's picture - Pestle & Mortar
Amazing Black & Gold body hugging Skirt - PhatCulture
High Socks - Pestle & Mortar

Lols, I look like a walking Pestle & Mortar mannequin. Well, I tried other outfits but I feel this set suits my team's theme best. We are like hipsters playing truant.Yeah, we are cool like that. Also, they are walking P&M man mannequin cause that's all they can choose from. :p and oh... I had 2 partners + 1 cute photographer KifliMally!

Also, here's a picture with SherLynn :)

At the end of the day, we got a small goodie bag from Melvita and MilkTee.nu was so amazing to give us a super duper pretty & comfortable shirt and a cute mirror. Thank you MilkTee!!

I really wonder who created the word "Inspiration". I always believe that being inspired is one of the best feeling in the entire world other than being in love. I truly think that my pupils dilates bigger when I get inspired by...well, almost anything. It can be a picture, a video, a movie, someone, some group or even just the feeling of thankfulness.

Inspiration motivates people, give people new ideas, creativity & innovation prevails in individuals, it makes life happy and exciting, giving it a whole new meaning to life. I just love it!

I have one special group of Apps that I absolutely love to death. They are filled with pretty, cool and amazing stuffs. I'm obsessed with Flipboard, Pintrest, Bloglovin, Lockerz, and WeHeartIt. These are the few apps that gets me going everytime I'm feeling down and depressed, maybe because I love beauty, fashion, interior designs, travel and arts. Thus, I fell in love and almost addicted to these inspiring apps.

Here's some mood lifter pictures
to share with you...

ZA Spring/Summer 2013 Eyes Groovy Palettes [Review & Tutorial]

Enhance your femininity with ZA Spring/Summer 2013 makeup collection, featuring these sweet shades of Eyes Groovy eye palletes!

I received these two palletes from ZA for a review and I have been testing them out for about 1 month now. ZA's idea of choosing these colors for the palletes are for the users to achieve simple, everyday look. With Brilliant Powder Complex, the eye shadow colors give a eyes a stunning glow. Its Skin Fit formula enables the sheer, bright colors to be layered and spread on eyelids easily. They also contains Vitamin E to nourish eyelids and is dermatologist-tested.

I'm actually really glad they gave me these two sets because the colors are beautiful. Though, I would have to  disagree that they are bright colors. I personally feel that they are quite sheer which makes it perfect for everyday look. Of course, it is build-able but only with the darker shades.

In general, they look quite matte in the pan but quite shimmery when swatched. They do cause a little bit of fall outs but it is bearable. The shadows are amazingly soft to use and easy to blend. I'm so thankful that the pan size for each color is not puny like some other quad palletes. Just because they are quads, doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the size of each color. That is super depressing okay. Maybe the only thing that is missing is to install in mirror in the quad, is not a must but I would love the pallete even more because I can travel without worrying not having a mirror with me when I want to touch-up. No biggy though.

and oh.... one lonely, miserable sponge applicator resting in a big space.
Maybe 2 applicator would be cool. :)

Pinkish Brown shades are just lovely. I love the pink with coral undertone and the light gold is to die for, layering the gold on top of the pink is just a heavenly color of rose-gold look alike! Stunning!

Clean Gray have the most alluring navy blue and futuristic silver ever. They fit perfectly together and great of a smoking day look and a dark, stunning night party look. Such a head-turner color combination! I just have a slight problem in wondering how to add the gold in the middle to blend into those shades. The gold is slightly more pigmented that the light gold of the pinkish brown pallete.

Check out my Romantic Tutorial using ZA Eyes Groovy Pinkish Brown Pallete!

Each pallete cost at RM39.90 and you can find it at Watson, Guardians and major hypermarkets. :)
