A WAY OUT Gameplay Ep.1 \\ BEST CO-OP GAME? \\ #TehChamLee

Lols, when he first told me about this new game call 'A WAY OUT', that requires 2-player to complete the game, I thought it was a great idea, until he told me he bought the game and asked me to play with him.

For me, other than Sims, I'm not really great at video games, I easily get headache with most games due to the movements and I'm not really good at aiming stuff. I was just afraid that I'll slow him down if I play this game with him.

I did it anyway, never try never know right, and I end up really liking it. I really like how EA tells the story and allow us to have split screen with different perspectives.

Try it yourself, otherwise, it's pretty fun to just watch too!

Hope you enjoy!

Althea's NEW SKINCARE - Bare Essentials 3-Step Basic Korean Skincare

It's finally here!

I've heard about this GOSSIP for a while now and I was truly excited to see what Althea came out with. I love Althea's website as most of the time, they managed to sell Korean beauty brands that we can't get in Malaysia. Even if the brand has a physical store here, the price sometimes can't compete with Althea's price.

Of course, I did an unboxing and opened everything up in a video, check it out below! :D

I've only test these products out once, just to so I can give my first impressions as I'm currently giving a real go on another skincare set that I've been trying for the past month. So here's my first thoughts on these simple 3-step skincare.

Althea's NEW SKINCARE - Bare Essentials 3-Step Basic Korean Skincare

Althea's Contour Cleanser (150g, RM23.00)
This cleanser definitely lathers up into a rich foam and it has capsules in it where it claims to be able to provide gentle exfoliation. I personally can't feel the capsules anymore after foaming it up but it still cleanses my skin well without drying my skin out. The awesome part about this cleanser is that it's COOLING! YES, COOLING! I'm so happy! Don't worry, it's nothing crazy like how men's cooling face wash feels. This cleanser has just enough cooling effect that makes you feel refreshed.

According to the website, it claims to be able to reduce swelling for a defined face shape, thus naming it contour cleanser, but really, I don't know how that works and so far, I don't see any contouring going on.

Althea's NEW SKINCARE - Bare Essentials 3-Step Basic Korean Skincare

Althea's Primer Water (200ml, RM43.00)
It has a thicker consistency than what I thought it would be, because you know, water. They described it as balm-like, kinda oxymoron from the product name might I say. First impression, I like it, it smells good, feels good on my skin, and works nice as a toner/softener. It absorbs completely and doesn't leave any moisture layer on the skin, thus perfect for oily skin type people.

Thanks to the primer effect they claim to have, I do feel my skin is smoother after applying this on, however, I have my concerns about putting on a primer before bedtime. I mean, I don't know if it will clog my pores as a primer is used to fill in pores so it'll smooths out unevenness, and I don't need a primer before I go to sleep, I want my skin to breathe and rejuvenate when I sleep. So, I'll probably use other toners I have for night.

Althea's NEW SKINCARE - Bare Essentials 3-Step Basic Korean Skincare

Althea's Fixer Cream (50g, RM50.00)

When I first tried it on my hands in the video, I really do like them very much and it reminds me a lot of other moisturisers that I once loved. I believe it's the texture that sold me. Because it's a cream-gel moisturiser, it's pretty refreshing when first apply on. It also has a nice faint scent green tea scent to it.

At first it has that thin non-greasy moisturising layer on the skin that I personally like, however, after a while, it kind of dries down to a velvety matte feeling on the skin. I don't know if it's meant to be this way, it could be that I didn't apply enough on my super dry skin. We'll see but so far, I'm okay with this.

Overall, first impressions, I love the packaging of these products, simple and classy. They are nice products that didn't react badly on my skin after one use. I have my concerns as mentioned in prior but we'll see what happens when I use this for a longer period of time.

For more info, visit http://my.althea.kr/. Additionally, Althea is giving out an additional 10% off with a free special edition mirror if you purchase now. Check it out!

I've Visited The Beautiful Haslla Art World Museum That I Don't Quite Understand \\ What To Do In Gangneung, Gangwon Province.

$

0

Before I get all the hate comments, I have to admit that I'm not really an art person. I appreciate the existence of them but generally don't quite understand them and possibly never gonna go in any deeper when it comes to art appreciation because it's just not much my cup of tea at the moment.

With that said, a lot of things in this museum I personally don't get it but Haslla Art World Museum has always been a place that I would love to visit when I first wrote about it last year because on the outside, they look super cool and it's located by the sea, the view must be great!

The main entrance.

Little did I know, it's one of the first few places in the itinerary when I was on media trip for the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympics, Snow Festival in March event recently. Yeay! Haslla Art World comprises of a museum, hotel, and a cafe.

I've only toured the museum but I believe the cafe is open to public (I'm not quite sure). If I'm not mistaken they have a cafe located outside the main building and another cafe/restaurant inside the museum, both comes with a gorgeous view of the sea. Thus, even if you are not interested in the whole museum part or don't plan to stay in the hotel, you still can visit this place for the view with a side of food and drinks.

Take the stairs down on the right for the museum entrance. If you go straight on the left, you'll come to the hotel entrance.

Here's the entrance of Haslla Art Museum.

It's definitely beautiful inside, very artsy, very instagram friendly at every corner. They even sell some souvenir near the ticket counter should you like to bring something home for remembrance.

I guess the cool part about this art museum is that unlike most art places or even museum where you are only allowed to see and no touchy-touchy, here, they want you to experience more by touching and hearing. For example, at one point you'll have to go down a stairs filled clear plastics and bubbles wraps (not my best explanation or interpretation, check out my video at the end to see it yourself), at another point, you'll walk in a tunnel filled with tissues on the floor with a variety of laser lights twinkling around (as shown picture above), and at another point, if you stand close enough, you'll activate a dancing pinocchio. All of which you are free to touch and feel the different textures of the art.

Entrance to the pinocchio museum on the left.

Stand closer to activate this pinocchio.

A room filled with all kinds of pinocchio.

After a long walk inside, I thought I was at the end of it, but no, there's apparently an outdoor park museum. There are a few sections to the outdoor museum, the first part would just be sculptures plotted at various locations of the "forest" might I call it. If you have time, you can check out the Sky Observatory area which I didn't had the time to do so but I have a picture of it from the outside below, and if it tickles your fancy, feel free to walk through the Stone and Cow Dung Art Gallery. Yup, I said it right, COW DUNG ART GALLERY. Again, another section that I wished I had the time to check it out but media trips are like that, we don't get a lot of time to stroll around.

No regrets though, I think I personally enjoyed this part of the museum the most as there's fresh air and a heck of a view.

Sky Observatory area that I didn't get to see more.

Check out my vlog to see more of Haslla Art World Museum!
Overall, although I don't quite understand most of the artsy things, I personally really do love this place and would love to go back again to at least spend half a day there to see the rest of the outdoor museum and check out their cafes/restaurant. It would be a bonus if I get to stay in their hotel cause the pictures of their rooms look pretty awesome from their website.

Plus, the entrance fee for both Park (outdoor) and Museum (indoor) is not expensive. It's only 10,000 won per person. For more info, visit this website.

Jayeon Dakgalbi Restaurant \\ Where To Eat In Nami Island?

$

Firstly, this shop is not in Nami Island itself. Jayeon Dakgalbi (자연숯불닭갈비) is located at the jetty when you buy tickets to take the ferry to the famous Nami Island. Apparently, the must eat at this Chuncheon area (since Nami Island is located here) is dakgalbi or spicy stir fried chicken in English.

There are loads of dakgalbi restaurant nearby the parking lot of the jetty and this is one of them that are pretty tasty with a nice view of the river.

From the designated parking lot, you can choose to drive up the small hill or walk up as it's located up there. There's a souvenir shop right beside it and that's one way to get to the restaurant, through the souvenir shop.

Above picture is how the shop looks like inside. They have two types of Dakgalbi here, one is the charcoal-broiled type and another grilled type which is on the regular pan style. Thankfully, we had the charcoal-broiled type as I personally do much prefer the bbq style and omgosh, it tasted so darn good.  Even their kimchi was really nice. Plus, bbq-ing tteok (rice cakes) are pretty unique, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

My concern is that I'm not 100% sure if this place is halal. We've asked our guide and she said it is, however, I can't find the logo or even anywhere online in english confirming that it's halal. If you are going there yourself and looking for one that's halal, according to the internet, a quick search states that Kkokko Chuncheon, located right in front of the car park, is serving halal dakgalbi and it seemed pretty good too.

Opening hours: 9.30am - 10pm everyday

Anmok Beach & Coffee Street - FINALLY BEEN HERE! But Is It Worth Visiting? \\ Where to go in Gangneung, Gangwon Province?

$
0
0

Before I start babbling about how I finally made it here, let's take some time to appreciate my two adorable girlfriends who photobombed my pictures without me knowing until earlier today when I was editing these pictures. Omgosh guys, why y'all so kiut!

Speaking of cute, here's another adorbs picture of my other friend trying to chase those beach birds. Just lovely, always make my videos that much more entertaining.

Anyway, as the title states, I've finally visited Anmok Beach and Coffee Street! It was the one place where we didn't manage to visit last year but I'm glad it's part of our Snow Festival In March itinerary this year. It's actually much smaller place than what I had expected. A nice place but much smaller than what I had in mind, probably because there's a hype of this place as being one of the must visit places when in Gangneung, as it's also known as the city of 'Coffee Romance' by the KoreaTimes Online

There's actually quite a cute story before Gangneung became famous for its coffee. Back in the 1980s, most Koreans get their coffee from vending machines installed along Gangneung beaches and during that time, the bus that goes to the beach and back to the villages only ran three times a day. Thus, in that era, when a man as a woman to have coffee with him was like asking for her to spend an entire day together. The coffee-dates concept became even popular thanks to radio programs that promotes such love stories, causing a plethora of couples from other places of Korea to visit the place to make their own coffee-date stories.

As time passes, when people start offering brewed coffee, Gangneung just became a coffee paradise. Coffee is so important to Gangneung that the city government even hosted Gangneung Coffee Festival annually since 2009.

Anmok Beach and Coffee Street is pretty much the most famous place to get coffee with a beautiful beach view in Gangneung. For me, I like this place but if I'm just on vacation and would like to visit as much of Gangneung as possible, I personally won't spend my whole day here, sipping coffee and people watching because there's really nothing much to do here other than that. Of course, unless you really, really like sitting by the beach, then it makes sense.

Watch this video to see a little bit more of Anmok Beach and Coffee Street!

If Anmok Beach and Coffee Street is going to be in my itinerary, I would visit this place in the evening around 5pm, after a really long day visiting other parts of Gangneung, when it's time for me to kick back and relax my tired legs accompanied by the sea breeze. This is probably my favourite time to enjoy a cup of coffee and maybe later on find a convenient store that has a table outside for me to enjoy my dinner ramyeon while I continue enjoying the beach view.

Unfortunately, after some research, Anmok beach, is not famous for its sunset, you can enjoy the orange and yellow sunset hues in the sky but I don't think you can really see the sun, the round sun, setting behind the sea.

The coffee place that I might just sit to rest my legs and enjoy a little dating time would definitely be this cafe, Bossa Nova, as it has a beautiful top outdoor sitting area for you to see the entire beach and street.

As for convenient store for my ramyeon dinner, seems like CU is the only one (that I saw) that has a little sitting area outside. I guess CU it is then.

Also, there's a GN Guest House here (Gangneung Guest House) for those interested to stay a night. It's dorm style, and weirdly check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am. Lols, definitely not a place for me. I like my privacy and my own sweet time in the morning in my hotel room. It's fine if you are just looking for a simple place to sleep.

The Beauty Of Woljeongsa Temple & Its Surroundings [Goblin K-Drama Shooting Location]

$
0
0

Guys, I almost cried when I found out that I've visited another Goblin K-drama shooting location. They didn't shoot in the temple but they shot at the trails outside the temple known as Fir Forest trails. Picture below is the entrance of the trail that Goblin K-drama was shot.

Here's the prove:

Omgosh why didn't I do my research properly before my trip, I could have took a better picture that look much like the one in the drama. I saw the horn personally but I didn't really car much for it at that moment because the Fir Forest itself is truly wonderful.

It was about 15-20 minutes walk to the temple from the entrance I've shown earlier and I kid you not, the walk was magnificent. The Fir Forest trail was so peaceful yet so gorgeous at the same time, I couldn't help but to really take my own sweet time strolling along the rather muddy path (thanks to melting snow). We didn't had much time, as usual, we had an appointment at the temple to experience making prayer beads. But I didn't care, most of us didn't too as there's just something about the Fir Forest that you'll like to enjoy and experience the most out the walk.

As you walk through the forest, you'll be welcomed by a few sculptures here and there, making the place filled character. As you walk along the path, you'll soon come to a river (as picture above) that will make you want to stop and just listen to the water stream through the rocks. And the view, my goodness, breathtaking.

Check this video out for more of Woljeongsa Temple, Fir Forest and Prayer Bead Making!

Once we reach the temple, we had our prayer bead making experience where we had to kneel 108 times, one for each bead, to complete them. I kid you not, after the whole thing, my body started aching but definitely was an interesting experience.

Only after that, I was able to check out the temple with the limited time given. The main beauty of the temple is the Octagonal Nine Story Stone Pagoda (picture as below) standing tall in the middle of the place. This pagoda is one out of four National Treasures (placed at no. 48) in Woljeongsa Temple.

Woljeongsa Temple is one of the must visit places when in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, as it reflects so much culture for foreigners to experience. In fact, Woljeongsa Temple is also one of the many temples around South Korea that provides the Temple Stay Programme where you'll get to experience the Buddhist monk culture in Korea.

Btw, I purposely dressed up in my winter modern Hanbok just so I can take a nice photo in a Korean temple. Lols. It seemed appropriate.

Woljeongsa Temple and Fir Forest
I believe there's an admission fee. More info here.

SAMYANG HAS A RANCH? 4 Things To Know Before Visiting Daegwallyeong In Winter \\ Must Visit In PyeongChang!

$
0
0

This is Daegwallyeong Samyang Ranch, also known as Samyang Eco Green Campus. It's one of those places that I personally love visiting. I've always truly enjoy a good view from the top of a mountain, to be able to enjoy some of God's finest creations is a privilege that I usually take my time to indulge in.

There are many Daegwallyeong Ranch in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, and if you ask me, I'd would say that they all probably have a similar view from the top. Last year, I had the opportunity to visit the Daegwallyeong Skyranch, where we took a tractor up the mountain. The view was as pretty as the one from Samyang Ranch but it was much colder and windy, thus I didn't stay out for long.

Daegwallyeong Ranches are definitely one place that I would recommend visiting if you like enjoying nice views and taking a long walk with nature. However, there are a few things I would recommend knowing before planning your trip there.

#1 Beautiful All Year Round
I don't believe Daegwallyeong ranch is only pretty during the winter season. As much I love the snow, I do someday would like to walk along these same paths when the grass is much greener or when the leaves on the trees turn orangy-brown I believe they are just as beautiful in Spring, Summer, and Autumn. If you are planning to visit, just be sure to check their operating hours accordingly as they have different closing time depending on the season.

#2 Layer On More Than You Think You Need
My first experience was quite crazy, although there were no snow, being on top of the mountain was extremely cold due to the wind. I wasn't prepared thus couldn't do much before I ran back to take cover. My recent trip, I was ready with my thickest layers of clothing and filled my pockets with way too many heat pack on each side. It was definitely worth the bulk as I really did enjoyed myself this time. I believe even during the Spring or Autumn season, just bring an extra jacket, you'll never know how cool the weather could be.

#3 Good Shoes
For winter, get some proper winter boots. Walking on snow/ice might be fun but a good footwear is required to keep you stable. During other seasons, wear something comfortable that can help you walk for a longer period of time.

#4 Bekkk
Most of them do have cows and sheeps that they own. Check out for feeding time and if their are available for the season. Of course, the sheeps that I met stinks but they sure as hell cute. I mean, just look at them.

Does Crispy Chicken With Rendang Works?

I'm sure by now you've heard much about the whole "Cripsy" chicken rendang and MasterChef UK issue happened recently. Basically, a judge from the popular cooking competition series say that the chicken rendang of a contestant is not crispy and kicked her out from the competition.

We, as Malaysians, love rendang, especially our mom's chicken rendang. So we thought, why not try it out?

Elianto Musang King Makeup Review! + Video

$
0
0

Yellow mellow! So much yellow in this blogpost and video. It's only appropriate cause it's the Musang King Makeup collection by Elianto that everyone was rather shocked about. I thought it was a joke too, until it arrived at my doorstep.

Do watch my unboxing and first impressions video below to brighten up your day!

I'm sure, as Malaysians, we must have had a glimpse of thought or maybe even joke about having durian makeup. Since the aroma of this "King of all Fruits" is one that we all yearn for all year round. So Elianto, took it seriously and came up with possibly world's first Musang King Makeup Collection!

Elianto Durian Musang King Highlighter (RM59.90)
This looks like a dupe for Fenty Beauty's Highlighter in Trophy Wife, the famous Rihanna's makeup brand that once took the beauty world onto a whole different level. A quality product as the formula is smooth and creamy but it's too yellow for my skintone. I look absolutely ridiculous having this on my cheek bones. However, they look gorgeous on my eyelids as an eyeshadow. I do think that this might look pretty on those with darker skintone, they probably can pull this off as a highlighter better than I do. Scent wise, it has a little durian sweet smell if you get your nose extremely close to the pan.

Elianto Durian Musang King Eyeshadows (RM19.90)
Formula seem to be rather similar to the highlighter, ultra soft and creamy to the touch. I really love how they feel and their shades are gorgeous. The shade Cocoa is a nice universal everyday brown shade while Yellow is really pretty as a highlight shade for me. Again, scent wise, very faint sweet durian smell.

Elianto Durian Musang King Lip Care SPF18 (RM39.90)
These lip balms are awesome. They are very moisturising, easy to use, and the pinkish shade gives out a really pretty hint of pink to my lips. Scent wise, it's not overwhelming. Almost to nothing actually, only when you are in the midst of applying them on your lips you can get a whiff of the sweet durian aroma.

Elianto Durian Musang King Lip Colour (RM39.90)
This lip colour has the strongest durian scent among all the products in the collection but it's still not strong enough in my opinion. Besides that, I don't like the formula of this lip colour at all. I've tried other Elianto Lip Colour before and this particular product is not up to my standard as Elianto have done much better lippies than this. It's patchy, not pigmented, and the colour is not pleasant on the lips, or at least not pleasant on my lips. I wouldn't recommend this at all, even the Yellow highlighter is much better than this lip colour.

If you are interested, they are available from 20th April 2018 onwards at selected outlets and online. Do check out Elianto's website for more information!

ShiKai Natural Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner Review

$

Here's a simple blogpost about a shampoo that I'm almost done using even though it's awfully drying. The thing is, I can't let it go because of how cooling it feels on my scalp. I love using this but I'm not the biggest fan of how it feels after I rinsed it off. Watch my video below for more details.

Sure, this shampoo smells awesomely refreshing and cleans really well. It's just a little too drying that it makes it compulsory for me to use a conditioner after shampooing. I know it's common to condition your hair after shampooing but because sometimes I'm lazy, I tend to skip the second step.

Personally for me, if it wasn't because how amazingly cooling this shampoo is, I'd probably already toss it in the trash by now. So, I made it work by having another regular shampoo for those lazy days and when I feel like I don't need to deep clean my scalp. Oh yeah, this Tea Tree shampoo will make your head feel so clean after one wash, not exactly a bad thing if you feel like you need it on those extra dirty days.

As for the conditioner, it works perfectly fine like a regular conditioner. I have no issues with it.

The Herb Farm New Zealand Skincare Review + Giveaway Worth RM139 Each!

$

No joke, this is by far the best natural skincare that I've used so far. Of course, there were some products with textures or scents that I'm not the biggest fan of but overall this skincare works and I have pictures to show you at the end of this blog. And oh, plus, I'm giving away two mini skincare kits to two of you. Find out how you can win it at the end too.

Watch my video review first!

The Herb Farm Softening Rose Cream Cleanser (200ml, RM159)
I'm not a fan of cream cleansers, ever. I don't really like the unclean feeling that cream cleansers usually leaves behind and I don't really understand the science behind cream cleansers and how they work. I generally stay away from them but since this was in the set for dry skin, I might as well just try them.

First try, smells awesome but still didn't like it but it does instantly makes my skin feel very soft after patting them dry. I decided to just stick to the routine and use this mostly in the morning or when I don't wear makeup for the day. After a month, I can see the difference. It does help to keep my skin well moisturised in a long run. Also, I've found a better way to use it, mixing with The Herb Farm Smoothing Exfoliating Powder below to achieve soft skin yet feeling clean.

The Herb Farm Smoothing Exfoliating Powder (50ml, RM109)
On the website, it states that you should mix this powder with your cleanser to use but I personally just mix it with a few drops of water and it works perfectly fine. I really like that this cleanses my skin well yet not completely stripping my skin dry. In fact, I really like using it with The Herb Farm Softening Rose Cream Cleanser as it strikes the best balance of leaving my skin feeling extremely soft yet clean enough to my liking.

However, I don't really like the scent of this powder, smells like those vege powder drinks that you drink for health. It's not expired or anything, it's just how it is with natural products sometimes since they don't add fragrance to boost the scent. Though, when I mix them with the Rose Cream Cleanser, the rose scent covers the scent of this powder.

The Herb Farm Rejuvenating Facial Toning Mist (100ml, RM109)
I like this mist but it's definitely nothing revolutionary. There are so many other facial mist out there and they all probably smell similar. However, this product is a good mist. It tones and hydrates well, unlike other regular spring water mist, this locks the moisture in the skin after misting them on. So your face won't feel dry and need more misting. A great pick-me-up when anytime, anywhere, especially with the travel size bottle, perfect for handbags.

The Herb Farm Radiance Boost Facial Serum (20ml, RM159)
It has a scent that not everyone will be able to accept, it's either you love it or hate it. I thought it was weird at first and then slowly find the scent extremely soothing and calming to my soul. In fact, I look forward to this very step and lingers at it by giving myself a little facial massage, making the experience it more therapeutic. Just awesome! You really have to smell them yourself, they do give samples of this btw. As for efficacy, I believe this helped overall with my skin radiance and glow along with their other products.

The Herb Farm Nourishing Rose Face Cream (50ml, RM119)
This is one glorious moisturiser! I love this a lot, it's up there with a few of my favourite moisturisers. It's super thick, creamy, and smells amazing. A little goes a long way and it worked wonders for my dry skin. Totally recommend this to anyone who needs a moisturiser that's ultra potent.

This is my skin progress. As you can see, even after a month, my skin is looking much smoother, clearer, and well hydrated. I love it!

Guess which house did I get sorted into?!

This is the very first thing I saw when I woke up this morning. Literally spent the entire day recording and editing this video. I didn't manage to record the actual audio from the game but it was nothing really, just background music and a little sound effect here and there.

Hope you enjoy! :D
