Why Hanoi & Osaka Should Be In Your Next Travel Plan!

$
0
0
Vietjet will soon welcome its latest route addition linking Hanoi, Vitenam with Osaka, Japan. Starting 8 November, the route will be operational on a daily basis with a flight time of 4 hours per leg.

Hanoi and Osaka are cities that you don't usually put them together but little did you know, the French-colonial city of Hanoi and port city of Osaka shares many common traits. Boasting stupendous scenery, rich culture and diversity, both destinations are lively dynamic cities that are rapidly emerging as two of the latest hotspots of Asia. Here are a few reasons why Hanoi and Osaka warrant a spot on your travel bucket list.

Why Visit Hanoi, Vietnam?
#1 Old-World Charm with Modern Development

Located on the western bank of the Red River in northern Vietnam, the high-octane capital city of Vietnam is a combination of old-world charm and modern development brought on by a recent surge in tourism. The city best described as the cultural heart of Vietnam has much to offer visitors, from lovely parks and museums to street-side restaurants, tree-fringed boulevards and fine colonial architecture.
#2 Beauty of Foreign Influences

Hanoi’s understated charm also lies in its eclectic mix of foreign influences. Traces of the city’s French colonial past are deeply etched in its culture from the architecture, language spoken, right down to its famous Vietnamese drip filter coffee which is a reinvention of the French press.
#3 Hoan Kiem District (the Old Quarter)

While in Hanoi, a visit to the historic Hoan Kiem District (the Old Quarter) is a must. Dive into the backstreets and weave through alleyways on foot to discover boutique stores, cafes and local shops for a truly authentic experience of the city. Don’t be alarmed by the commotion of blaring horns from scooters vying for right of way as this is quintessentially Hanoi.

#4 Historical Sights

A city with a thousand year history, culture vultures will also be delighted by the many historical sights Hanoi has to offer such as the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Hoa Lo Prison and the Hanoi Imperial Citadel.

Why Visit Osaka, Japan?
#1 Fun Attractions

Home to tourist favourites such as Universal Studios Japan, Osaka Castle and Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, the bustling city of Osaka packs quite a punch when it comes to local attractions and world-class dining.

#2 Shopaholic’s Haven

From shopping arcades to flea markets, Osaka is also a shopaholic’s haven. Some must-visit marketplaces include Shintennoji Temple market, Kuromon Ichiba market, Amemura and Shinsaibashi-suji – the 600m long shopping avenue located in the heart of the Minami district.
#3 Creative Dining Experience

A culinary mecca, food lovers will be spoilt for choice with Osaka’s unrivalled epicurean delights ranging from street side takoyaki and okonomiyaki to Michelin-starred establishments. Take a stroll along Dotonbori – the neon-lit commercial street lined with an enormous selection of restaurants, street vendors and bars and savour some of the best cuisines Osaka has to offer.

Vietjet's Promotion!

In celebration of Vietjet’s new route, the airline is offering 700,000 tickets priced from only RM0* from the period of 4 – 6 July 2018 during the golden hours of 1 – 3pm daily. These hot promotional tickets are applicable on Vietjet’s entire flight network including Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia – and yes that’s right, Hanoi and Osaka! So what are you waiting for? DISNEY TSUM TSUM BEAUTY: GIMMICK OR WORTH IT?

$
0
0

I love cute packaging but I'm usually quite sceptical towards products that are made in collaboration with cartoons. Many times, they don't really put too much effort into the kind of ingredients that put in since it's really all about how it looks from the outside. However, even with such thought in mind, I'm still very open to give them a try.

I've never heard of TSUM TSUM until the day I did this video, I've even watched a short clip of the cartoon while I was filming this just to get an idea what are they all about. Immediately got addicted to all the cuteness, no wonder they are collaborating with Mentholathum for this collection of beauty care items.

Watch my video unboxing and first impressions on some of these TSUM TSUM Beauty products below:

Mentholathum Tsum Tsum Face Mask (RM7.90 each sheet)
I've tried the Lavender variant in the video and I personally do like it. Nothing fancy, just a regular basic sheet mask that do work quite well. Feels good, doesn't sting nor irritate my skin, moisturise and smells good without being too overpowering. Thumbs up from me for their sheet mask. They have 4 variants, Lavender, Rose, Honey, and Tea Tree.

Mentholathum Tsum Tsum Face Wash (100g, RM14.90)
They have two variants, Hydra and Whitening Face Wash and Pore Refining Face Wash. Cute packaging but I don't plan to try these as I feel neither of them suit my current face wash preference at the moment. Pore Refining is probably for oily skin type people while Hydra sounds good but the Whitening part doesn't appeal to me. Plus, they have Arbutin in it as one of the main ingredient, I'm not really a big fan of that particular ingredient.

Mentholathum Tsum Tsum Fruity Lipbalm (3.5gg, RM11.50)
I personally love Mentholathum lipbalm, especially their OGs in simple white packaging with cooling effect and a scent that could freshen up the entire room. I was really hoping these Tsum Tsum lipbalms would be exactly like those, unfortunately, they aren't. They do not have menthol in them :( Thus, I won't be trying these out myself either. However, if you are interested in a non-minty lipbalm, they do have some pretty good ingredients in there such as Vitamin E and Argan oil, both nourishing and extremely hydrating for the lips. Comes in 3 variants, Lime, Peach, and Apple.

Mentholathum Tsum Tsum Hand Cream (50g, RM16.90)
This hand cream is huge, not something that I can throw it in my purse, especially when I'm trying to switch to a small handbag these days. I'm having a lavender moment while filming, I tried the lavender variant and wow, it smells awesome and feels good on the skin. It's thick yet doesn't feel sticky on the hands. I'll definitely use these by placing them by my work desk. Comes in 3 variants, Lavender, Jasmine, and Rose.

Mentholathum Tsum Tsum beauty range are available at Watsons, Aeon Wellness, Caring, and Sasa nationwide.

ARE THESE St. Ives SCRUBS TOO HARSH FOR MY SKIN? #TurnUpTheGlow

$
0
0

St.Ives now comes with a new look! Claiming as America's #1 scrub brand, St. Ives is made with 100% natural exfoliants, spending more than 60 years exploring and formulating their quality products.

Their most famous and OG apricot scrub is made with their key ingredient, the walnut shell powder that's supposedly gentle-yet-effective. Walnuts are grown in California, they are washed, dried, and cracked before going through a gentle process to separate the walnut from the shell. The shell is then milled gently into a fine powder to create these scrubs.

I think most importantly, these St. Ives face scrubs are not harmful to the environment! Scrubs, in general, was once blamed to be bad for the sea or ocean as some scrubs includes microbeads that are made from plastics, which is potentially harmful for the marine life. St. Ives scrubs are eco-friendly and microbeads-free, you can exfoliate your skin without leaving a harmful footprint.

In attempt to #TurnUpTheGlow, I tried some of these St. Ives face scrubs myself. Check out the video below to see more of the new St. Ives face scrubs!

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub and St. Ives Acne Control Apricot Scrub

Let's start with the two scrubs that I can personally won't be using on my dry skin. I used to use the OG Fresh Skin Apricot scrub when I was in high school and I used to really love it but as I age, my skin got drier, it became a bit too scrub-y for me. Even if I were to use it now, I probably can only use it once every 2 weeks max. No doubt, trying them at the back of hands felt amazing as the scrub-y property provided a nice massage as well as made my hands feel so smooth after rinsing. I do think these are great scrubs it's just unfortunate my dry skin can't take it.

St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub and St. Ives Radiant Skin Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Scrub

Diving into these two that I thought I won't like but ended up actually kinda liking it and will definitely keep it for myself. These two are considered as 'moderate' exfoliators. Personally, I think they are considered pretty gentle in my books. They do not have the walnut shell powder as scrub-y ingredient, they remind me of the macha powder exfoliants that I enjoy from The Herb Farm. They are paste-y and smell rather nice, especially the Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange variant, it's so summery and might even be a tiny bit cooling!

Moving on to the two products that I was curious and actually tried on my face. I did a half and half test in the video with these two products. One with an exfoliating factor of 'deep' while the other is in the extreme 'gentle'.

St. Ives Energizing Coconut and Coffee Scrub

This is one that I wasn't planning to try until I saw the special sticker on top of the tube. It's the only one with the special sticker that states "America's #NextTopScrub". It seems that it's been truly loved by people and I want to know why. This has an exfoliation factor of 'deep' and I was scared that it would be too harsh for my skin. I wasn't wrong actually, definitely too scrub-y for me and left my skin a little bit too dry after using it, as it does have the walnut shell powder as the scrub ingredient. However, I did find out why it's so loved, it's the smell, the freakishly invigorating scent! It smells so so so good! It's something that you would definitely want to wake up for, almost like a chocolate muffin infused with coffee. It's ridiculously amazing. For whoever can use a deep exfoliating scrub, please, try this!

St. Ives Gentle Smoothing Oatmeal Scrub and Mask

I've been eyeing on this ever since they contacted me about their new mask. It's the gentlest among all the other scrubs and yes, I have to agree, it's super gentle and even somewhat leave my skin feeling supple and a little bit glowing. It literally smells like your regular breakfast oats with some honey, it's gooey and slimy, perfect to make any dry skin peeps feeling like a queen. They also contain walnut shell powder as a scrub ingredient but thanks to the slimy and gooey part of the cleanser, it helps to cushion or prevents the walnut shell powder from having direct contact to my skin. Resulting in a soft, supple, glowy skin yet still felt clean and mildly scrubbed. The best part about this product is that you can also use it as a mask! I did and I love it!

Each if these 170ml St. Ives face scrubs are available at RM24.90. For more info, visit St. Ives website.

Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Review & All Swatches! (+Giveaway)

If you are looking for a real long lasting matte lipstick that's comfortable, try these new babies by Maybelline. Known as Super Stay Matte Ink, in Malaysia currently we have 8 shades in total and I have all of them swatched. Some colours look better on me than others, no doubt I have my favourites.

Packaging is simple and classy. I love that the colour outside represents that colour inside, making it so much easier when searching for our favourite lippie. Check out the video below to see more of these Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink and find out how you can win yourself a full set of these beautiful lippies!

I love their applicator. It's precise and holds the right amount for one layer on my lips. It's also pretty flexible, making it easy to smooth the products around comfortable and evenly. The product itself smells heavenly like I've just went into a bakery.

Overall, the colours are pigmented and smooth. The only one I find rather patchy is the shade 40 Believer. I had a hard time trying to get an even application and I ended up layering over and over at least 3 times, with multiple dips back into the tube for more product. The rest of the colours I didn't need to dip my applicator back into the tube, one layer is enough for an opaque finish. They do dry down matte (cream-ish kinda matte) but you've got to give it some time, most of my swatches here looks wet, that's because they've not dried properly.

Once these sets, it's really tough to remove. It clings on your lips so well, making it ultra long lasting even after eating oily food. It's crazy!

Overall, these Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink are amazing liquid lipsticks. Easy to apply, great for liquid lipstick dummies as their formula doesn't dry quick, giving you enough time to get the lip shape and coverage you want before it sets. Shades are pretty, comfortable, and long lasting. Definitely a liquid lipstick that I'll recommend to anyone who wants to try them.

Or win a full set of Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink from me! Check out the description of my YouTube video to find out how you can participate this giveaway. Ending 1st August 2018! HURRY!

Big thanks to Guardian and Maybelline for providing me these products!

10 Second Mask? Althea x Get It Beauty Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Green Tea & Rose Review.

$
0
0

Althea is no doubt one of my favourite online platform to shop for k-beauty items. I've probably said this many times, they prices are very competitive and I trust every product to be 100% authentic from Korea.

Althea is still pretty new in producing their own products, so far, I've heard great reviews about their velvet powder, some say comparable to the innisfree no sebum loose powder, and as for their skincare line (Bare Essentials), good basic beginner products but not for me (it's not moisturising enough for my skin) as I've been pampered with other better and more moisturising skincare.

So now, when I saw this two new products in my Althea Angel's beauty box, I was utterly intrigued as it was written as a 10-second mask on the packaging. I mean, how is that even possible, right? It's weirder as you'll have to wash them off. How is this different from a regular cleanser? In the unboxing video above, I kinda left it aside so I could do some research first.

The day has come when I think I've enough idea on how to use these products, of course, did a video demo and first impressions on it. Check out the video below for more of the Real Fresh Skin Detoxer.

Althea x Get It Beauty Real Fresh Skin Detoxer (150ml, RM43 each)

As you can tell from the name itself, these new babies are a collaboration with a popular K-beauty TV series in Korea. These kind of collab, it make sense to me as they are both credible companies when it comes to K-beauty.

The 10-second concept is new to most of us but it has been done before by other brands, however, they are mostly 10-second sheet mask/wipes style. So this would be the first wash off 10-second mask.

They claim to use premium ingredients, where green tea sourced from Jeju (true, some of the best ingredients come from Jeju) and Rose sourced from France. Below are some of the benefits of each product.

Rose (Morning)
- Refining
- Detox
- Smooth roughness
- Radiant glow

Green Tea (Night)
- Purifying
- Detox
- Soothe
- Nourish sensitive skin

They recommend using Rose variant in the morning help prep skin for makeup while Green Tea variant to be used at night as it helps with regeneration.

The green tea variant has a scrubby property to it while rose doesn't. They both smell amazing, rose smell heavenly like rose while green tea smell more fresh than your usual green tea scent. Both comes in a runny gel consistency but thick enough to stick on your skin when doing the mask routine.

After smoothing both mask on my face, I lather them with water and massage my face in a circular motion. They both foams up very well and rinsed quite easily. My skin felt clean and a little firm with green tea side feeling smoother as they have the scrubby property in them. My skin felt a little dry, not too bad as compared to some other cleansers that I've used before but I definitely need my moisturisers.

I think the main point is if the 10-second mask time made any difference. For me, for my dry skin, I don't think it's necessary, I think it would be more useful for people with oily skin type. I don't feel the 10-second mask time adds any moisture to my skin and I prefer foaming up my cleanser, especially gel cleanser, first so it's gentler on my skin. Thus, I'll only continue using this like a regular cleanser since I do like them as cleansers very much. Smells good and not overly drying for my dry skin.

Mamonde Creamy Tint Squeeze Lip Review

$
0
0

By now, with this Squeeze Lip collection, Mamonde Creamy Tint range is massive. It's crazy. They have Mamonde Creamy Tint Colour Balm (light), Mamonde Creamy Tint Colour Balm (intense), Mamonde MLBB (my lips but better), and Mamonde Creamy Tint Squeeze Lip. I believe I might have tried Colour Balm Intense before but can't really remember how is it different from the Light version, possibly the lighter version spreads more like a lipbalm while the intense versions spreads more like a lipstick, if my brain remembers clearly. As for MLBB, I've never tried them before.

Mamonde sent me 3 products from their Mamonde Creamy Tint range, 2 Squeezy Lip colour and 1 Mamonde Creamy Tint Colour Balm (light). Check out the video below to see them in action:

Mamonde Creamy Tint Colour Balm (Light), 2.5g

The light version is said to be a crayon, pencil-type lip balm that has high oil content to help keep lip moisturised, smooth, and comfortable. They might be balmy in texture, the one that I have is surprisingly super pigmented. The colour doesn't look anything like the outside tube thus make sure to swatch them and see which is your fav colour, don't buy them based on the tube colour. I love that it's super moisturising and it spreads beautifully and easily for a Korean gradient lip look but because it's ultra moisturising, it's not one that will last super on the lips. Thankfully, it does have that tint effect, so at least even if you eat off all your colour, there's that tint to keep you going before your next application.

No.7 Baby Burgundy. RM45 each - According to Mamonde's official store on 11street

Mamonde Creamy Tint Squeeze Lip, 9g

I have this in two shades, no.8 Girly Rose and no.10 Retro Rose. I love both colours but my favourite will have to be no.10 Retro Rose as I'm currently a little more into such burn orangy-red colour as gradient lip. Mamonde marketed this as a liquid lip with Ultra High Density (UHD) Grinding Technology that makes the number of pigment particles to be more, resulting in a brighter and richer lip colour. I don't know much about these science mumbo-jumbo but I what I can say is that the colour is definitely super pigmented and vibrant. It's also said to be infused with 28% Rose Water, and has a cooling liquid texture. For me, I don't feel much of the cooling effect but the smell definitely is pretty rose scented and I love it.

For a gradient lip, upon application, they do feel extremely creamy and smooth, but I think after a while having it on, it becomes a dry like how a liquid lip would feel, not super dry but definitely not as creamy as when first applied. Additionally, the tip of the application or the "brush" for easier understanding, is not as precise as a traditional doe foot applicator for a liquid lipstick. The plastic applicator on this squeeze lip is useful for a gradient lip style but I don't recommend if you want a precise full lip look.

RM50 each - According to official Mamonde store on Lazada.

ANTIPODES Aura Manuka Honey Mask Review

$
0
0

This is one luxurious mask! It's definitely one that I would recommend you to try if you are looking for an ultra moisturising mask for your dry skin. Check out my firs impressions video below to see how the ANTIPODES Aura Manuka Honey Mask works.

The ANTIPODES Aura Manuka Honey Mask has won multiple awards from various beauty portals for being one of the best treatment mask available out there. Looking at the ingredients and their descriptions, it seemed really promising to save dry skin as it claims to be ultra moisturising and help soothes skin.

Of course, I was firstly attracted by its packaging. I mean the whole aluminium tube thing looks pretty cool.

Going back to the real gist, the product itself smell quite pleasant. It has a strong mandarin orange scent that reminds me CNY. It's super ultra creamy, felt as if I was applying my moisturiser instead of a mask. Because of that, I only applied a thin layer instead of my usual thick slap of mask on my face. It was easy to apply and did not drip everywhere, I could walk around and do some housework while waiting for it to dry. I could definitely feel my skin being intensively hydrated while having the mask on, my skin was soaking up all the goodness.

My only issues with this is that it does sting my skin a little, prominently around the sensitive areas such as underneath my nose, above my lips, under my eyes cheeks area. It's not bad for me but definitely could be a concern for people with much more sensitive skin than mine.  Plus, I'm not 100% sure if it's good for people with severe acne as this product have been marketed as one that's good for acne due to the anti-inflammatory properties of Manuka Honey.

After 15 minutes, most parts dries of clear. Rinse, my skin felt a little firm and definitely extremely moisturised from underneath the skin. It's a crazy yet so glad to have such wonderful product for a skin like mine. Not recommend for people with oily skin type people as this is rather potent and rich.

RM168.87 each of 75ml. For more info, visit MY TNS SKINLab

New Elianto Products. Hits & Misses + Review.

$

0

Elianto sent me 3 new products and I thought why not try them all in one video. I've got the Elianto Stay On Mascara, Elianto Pro Matte Lip Crayons, and the Deep Sea Water Lip and Eye Makeup Remover. I've decided to put the mascara and lip crayon to a full day test. Then, tested the makeup remover out at the end of the day.

Check out my video review below to have more visual on these products.

Elianto Stay On Mascara (RM 39.90)

Let's start with the eyes. I thought I was going to hate this mascara since it claims to be lengthening and volumizing. I have a stigma against mascara that help with volume because usually those mascara make my lashes look very spidery and clumpy. Not to my liking.

Interestingly, after trying it on, I'm pretty fond of it. The brush is pretty unique but picks up way too much product, thus I had to scrap a lot of it off before going on my lashes. I recommend sticking to max. 2 coats of these as I felt the third coat starts to clump my lashes. With one or two coats, it really does lengthens, volumizes, and separates the lashes. The formula of the mascara is so black that it makes such a big difference to my lashes. Almost unreal. It does weigh my lashes down a little but it's not too bad, I can live with it.

The best part of all, it lasted all day. It still looks so good after a full day. Elianto said that it's water resistant but I've yet to splash water on my face, so I can really vouch for that but I personally do think that it might be safe to wear this mascara to a water park. Overall I love this mascara and highly recommend it.

Elianto Pro Matte Lip Crayons (RM33.90)

I'm just going to say it, I don't like this. For a matte lip crayon, yes it's pretty comfortable to wear, it felt almost creamy on my lips. However, while trying to get this on my lips, I had such a hard time trying to slide it on my lips and because it's a crayon style lippie, it does have the sharp edges for me to get a precise application. I need it to be precise because the red that they gave me is super bright, this plus it being matte is a combo to disaster if it's not done properly. Also, I fancy Korean style gradient lips more and I tried with this lip crayon, it doesn't work. I can't do gradient lip style with this lippie.

Making things worst, it doesn't last long. It transferred when I drink something and it almost completely gone when I had my meal. Needless to say, I wasn't gonna put in the effort to apply this again. It's just not worth my time. As far as I know, Elianto has some better liquid lipsticks to get this finish and last much longer on the lips. Thus, you definitely don't need to know what are the other 4 shades they have.

Elianto Deep Sea Water Lip and Eye Makeup Remover (RM27.90)

Another product that I'm absolutely surprised by. This Deep Sea Water Lip and Eye Makeup Remover is the bomb! Where was this product when I was all my liquid lipstick swatches. Darn, this is such a gentle yet ultra effective product, it removes tough mascara and liquid lipsticks so easily and well. Additionally, it's said that it doesn't only removes tough makeup, it also infuse skin with hydrating minerals since it's formulated with Deep Sea Water. It doesn't irritate my eyes, it doesn't dry out my lips. I'm down for this. 100% will recommend this to anyone looking for a good lip and eye makeup remover.

Antipodes Skincare For Dry Skin?

$
0
0

I've previously tried their Manuka Honey Mask and Halo Brightening Mud Mask, they were pretty good for dry skin like mine. Now let's dive deeper into the two other products that I've been trying out for the past two months or so. The other two skincare are the Antipodes Ananda Antioxidant-Rich Gentle Toner and the Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream. I've selected these two to try because they seem to be really good for dry skin.

Watch my video review for more visual aid!

Antipodes Organic Ananda Antioxidant-Rich Gentle Toner (100ml, RM114.72)

What I like about this is that it's certified vegan and certified organic, this would be extremely useful for people who really needs such products due to their sensitive skin. For me this is an added bonus to know that I'm using less chemicals in my skincare routine. Unfortunately, as much as I do like the wonderful ingredients in them (you can read more on their ingredients list here), I don't like the scent of this toner as much. As a toner, yes, it works pretty well. I like the mist, it dispenses well and fine. I like how it not only refreshes but also do hydrate my skin as I pat my face. It's not one of those that would disappear into thin air after misting. The scent is not unpleasant, it's just preference, plus in fact, I don't mind not thinking about the scent since the product do work quite well. I'm definitely keeping this.

Antipodes Natural Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream (60ml, RM202.83)

Enjoy a really good moisturiser? Here you go. This jar of thick cream is so amazing! It smells good and ultra rich, good for really dry or mature skin type. I enjoy using this so much that I actually look forward to using this during the night time. I generally only use this when I know I'll be home, I personally don't use this under makeup as I do feel that it's so thick and creamy that it will move my makeup as I apply on. I love how soothing this moisturiser feels, it doesn't break my skin out, it's helps with redness and it calms my skin down while I unwind. It's such a must have for people with dry or mature skin type, plus, it's certified vegetarian. Check out here for more info of the ingredients.

Overall, Antipodes do have some wonderful products. They might be up there in price but these products from New Zealand are top notch and if you are thinking of trying them, please do. If anything, the only downside would be you'll have to use them up faster as compared to other commercial skincare out there as Antipodes is considered as a natural and organic skincare brand. Thus, they do not have chemical preservatives to keep products last for over a year and half.

Sulwhasoo launched new additions to its already famous signature ginseng line. I've used Sulwhasoo before and I do really like their products, except for one cushion that just wasn't made for my sry skin type.

This new Ginseng line contains high concentration of nutrition tapped from ginseng, prepping skin with all the moisture and resilience it needs. The three new products are Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum, Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream EX (Original and Light), and Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Water and Emulsion.

I was given the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum, a mini sample set of the Ginseng line that includes one Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask. Here, I'll only review the Mask (cause I've heard good stuff about it) and the Serum.

Check out the video below to see more of the mask and the serum!

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask (5 sheets, RM424)

Yes, title was a clickbait. Nevertheless, RM424 for 5 pieces of sheet mask is crazy expensive. However, I've heard about this mask from my sister-in-law and she was raving about this for it healed its cracking, peeled skin in the winter overnight. Hearing such miracle plus a huge fan of sheet masks, I just had to try it myself.

The sheet mask is so luxurious that it's super well packed (almost excessive in my opinion), split into two sections (top and bottom mask), and dry. Yup, no serum or essence, no mess leaking everywhere. DRY. At this point, I was extra curious cause I've never used such a sheet mask before.

After stripping it all off from its pretty excessive packaging, I finally realised that it's so dry because the goodness are basically a layer of thick cream stuck on the mask itself. CREAM SHEET MASK. Man, imagine the moisture you are going to get after leaving it on for 15 minutes with the warmth of your face melting the cream while soaking up all the goodness.

This sheet mask is known to be an anti-aging mask with innovative Double Wrapping Sheet delivering powerful ginseng energy with a creamy texture, improving skin's elasticity, firmness, and radiance.

After applying the mask on, I was busy scraping out cream from the white plastic paper that was stuck with my mask earlier and massaging it all over my body. Don't waste is my mantra for every time I use a sheet mask.

The mask went on great, smells subtly like ginseng, stuck on my face sturdily, and very comfortable overall. No stinging, no discomfort, and no sliding. I personally enjoy this mask and I can understand how this will be extremely good for dry skin in winter season, but I believe that with Malaysia's weather, this can be too much for even normal skin type people. Thus, I will only recommend this if you have super dry skin and want something that can help with your peeling and cracking skin overnight.

Of course, my face felt great after peeling it off (in fact, I really wanted to leave it on till the next day). Tons of cream residue was still on my face, this is where I massage it in. I had a hard time parting with the sheet mask cause it's just so good. I absolutely love this mask!

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum (50ml, RM690)

After a luxurious mask, I continued with a luxurious serum. Actually, I read the instructions wrongly, I was suppose to use this serum first and then apply the sheet mask.

Anyway, I've tried this serum during the event launch and I immediately knew that I love this serum because it's not the super watery type. It's a thick gel-consistency that leaves room for you to do light face massage before it completely absorb into the skin. Smells heavenly like ginseng, this anti-aging serum provides a rich, silky, and nourishing feel leaving no sticky residue.

After the light massage I did for myself, I felt like a new person. So refreshed, calm, and ready for bed. The next morning, my skin looked like a dream. Man, now I wished I have the full size Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream EX in Original too cause it's said to pair really well with it on a daily basis.

Thanks Sulwhasoo for this wonderful experience. Reminding me of why I truly love your products once again with this new line.
